Treatment for

lumps and bumps

We can offer treatment for lumps and bumps of a benign nature. We can remove cysts and lipomas, skin tags and milia, as well as many other small lesions such as haemangiomas and moles.

We specialise in skin surgery at The Wellfield Skin Clinic. All procedures are carried out by Dr Berry who has been practising in surgical techniques since 2004.

Dr Berry is a member of the following relevant organisations:

  • The Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS)

  • Association of Surgeons in Primary Care (ASPC)

  • Primary Care Dermatology Society (PCDS)

Commonly requested lesions for removal include:

  • Skin Tags (these may be of a various nature)

  • Moles (also know as benign naevi)

  • Epidermoid Cysts (often called Sebaceous Cysts)

  • Pilar Cysts - these occur in the scalp usually

  • Lipoma - these are fatty lumps found in almost any area of the body

  • Neurofibromas - these often looks similar to moles and tags

  • Warts - there are various types occurring througout the body surface

  • Seborrhoeic Keratosis - often called solar keratosis

  • EyeLid Lesions - these can be of a variety of causes

  • Acne Cysts - often treated with Steroid Injections

  • Scar Revision Surgery

  • Abscess and Boil - Incision and Drainage

  • Other more rare skin lesions may also be removed...

A consultation is essential to discuss the method of removal, and we recommend a cooling off period before going ahead with any surgery. Occasionally it may be advised that certain skin lesions are left alone for risk of less preferable scarring.

Increasingly, and more so since the Covid 19 Pandemic, we are offering an informal assessment of skin lesions via photos sent to our clinic coordinator to be reviewed by the doctor. From these we can advise more accurately if we can undertake the surgery, and if a consultation is appropriate.

Our Surgical Packages include aftercare, histology and a follow-up where necessary. Consultations fees are usually £45, and redeemable against the procedure fee.

Please email photos and some descriptions of your skin lesion to our Clinic Coordinator, Georgie Egerton, on info@theskinclinic.com who will discuss your case and come back with the available treatment options and an estimate of costs.

We look forward to hearing from you!

"So happy with the results!"

"Last month I finally decided to have some large and unsightly moles removed off my face. After a consultation with Dr Berry I felt completely at ease to go ahead with the procedure. Dr Berry explained clearly about how they would be removed and I booked in for the removal 1 week after the initial consultation. I am so happy with the results. The procedure was painless and Dr Berry made me feel very comfortable throughout. I would highly recommend Dr Berry.
